Jorge Basadre Grohmann was born in Tacna on February 12, 1903. When I was nine years old, his family moved to Lima, where he studied at the German school Deutsche Schule and senior year at the College of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He joined the National University of San Marcos in 1919, where he earned the degree of Doctor of Letters and Jurisprudence and law degree.
